Eckerts Field Trip

Pre-K through 2nd Grade students along with their parents and grandparents enjoyed a fantastic day at Eckerts Orchard.

8th Grade Dissection

The eighth grade has been studying all of the body systems, the organs involved, and how they interact.  They used the dissection of a leopard frog to identify and review some of the major organs and systems.  Before the hands-on dissection, each student completed a virtual frog dissection on an iPad.

I want to thank the many parents and grandparents who have volunteered for various activities thus far this year. Volunteers are always welcomed, and it is a great way to show your child that there is an investment in education.

Remember that next week grades 3-8 will be taking the ITBS test. It is very important that students arrive to school on time as well as get plenty of rest at night. There will be no homework next week.

Highlights from the week of September 7, 2015

Sixth grade students explored the scientific method by building catapults and launching marshmallows, third grade students traveled the compass rose, and many more exciting lessons took place this week.

Monday Memo August 31, 2015

The students are back in full swing with their academics. Fourth Grade will once again take part in the STEAM initiative that we were invited to last year by COCA. Mrs. King and a teacher from COCA will work with the students throughout the year on integrating science, technology, arts and mathematics.
