This week St. Ambrose students worked collaboratively on a variety of projects.
I want to thank the many parents and grandparents who have volunteered for various activities thus far this year. Volunteers are always welcomed, and it is a great way to show your child that there is an investment in education.
Remember that next week grades 3-8 will be taking the ITBS test. It is very important that students arrive to school on time as well as get plenty of rest at night. There will be no homework next week.
Sixth grade students explored the scientific method by building catapults and launching marshmallows, third grade students traveled the compass rose, and many more exciting lessons took place this week.
The students are back in full swing with their academics. Fourth Grade will once again take part in the STEAM initiative that we were invited to last year by COCA. Mrs. King and a teacher from COCA will work with the students throughout the year on integrating science, technology, arts and mathematics.
The school year is off to a great start. We welcome many new families to St. Ambrose! The virtue for the year is hope, and the virtue for the first quarter is thankfulness.
