St. Ambrose students and their families and friends enjoyed a night of spooky fun at our annual Trunk or Treat. The Pre-K4 classes got into the Halloween spirit with a pumpkin roll STEM challenge.
Recently St. Ambrose students have been competing in both academics and athletics. St. Ambrose Middle School students put their knowledge to the test in the Vianney Tournament of Champions and the 5th grade boys soccer team won their division.
This week the students in Mrs. Foster’s kindergarten class made doves as part of their study of the Italian word pace, which means peace. The third grade visited the Magic House for a simulation to learn about being part of a community and managing a budget.
This week St. Ambrose kindergarten through second grade students enjoyed a field trip to Thies Farm Pumpkinland and seventh grade used Pearson Realize digital content to analyze the Declaration of Independence and discover new, diverse Revolutionary heroes.
St. Ambrose students have been busy this week meeting STEM challenges and participating in the Columbus Day Parade on the Hill.
Thanks to Gianni G., Charlsie L., Frannie W., and the St. Ambrose Student Council who worked together with the entire student body to raise money for St. Vincent de Paul School in Houston, Texas which was damaged in Hurricane Harvey!

The Pre-K4 classrooms joined together for a STEM challenge to build a bridge that all three of the different size billy goats from The Three Billy Goats Gruff could safely cross and have room for the troll to live underneath the bridge. Check out the results and more in the Monday Memo.
The start to a new school year is filled with much excitement and sometimes fear of the unknown.
According to Catholic Family Services, the beginning of school is a time “for our kids to learn new ideas, parents to maintain a steady schedule again, and teachers to make an impact on fresh minds.”
